Privacy
Can you read my journal?
No. Entries are end-to-end encrypted — the keys stay on your devices, so the server only ever stores ciphertext. There is no recovery backdoor and no analytics on your content.
Commerce
Is this a dispensary app?
No. CanJar does not sell cannabis and adds no ordering, delivery, pickup, menus, or affiliate links. It's a private journal and reference — education, not commerce.

What does Free include?
The full journal, label scanning, your strain notebook, law coverage and nationwide news — on one device, forever. Paid tiers add sync, export, insights, photos and news extras.
Billing
Can I cancel? What does Lifetime mean?
Subscriptions cancel anytime from Settings and run to the end of the paid period. Lifetime is a single $250 payment for permanent Pro — it never renews and never expires.
AI
Does Ask CanJar read my journal?
No. Only your question is sent, to OpenAI via CanJar. Your notebook stays on the device unless you tick Include my stats for a message, and then only numbers go — never notes. CanJar doesn't store your questions; the model provider holds them up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. It's off until you turn it on.
